Every year we take time to decorate the office and celebrate the season. This year, we used some of our own products to make simple, yet festive <a href=\"https:\/\/trimaco.com\/products\/heavy-duty-surface-protection\/flooring-protection-paper-x-paper\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">X-Paper<\/a> Christmas trees. These are perfect for any lobby, desk or hearth needing a little extra sparkle. Follow these simple steps to create your own X-Paper holiday paper tree:<\/p>\n<h3>Materials needed:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Trimaco&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/trimaco.com\/products\/heavy-duty-surface-protection\/flooring-protection-paper-x-paper\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">X-Paper<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Scissors<\/li>\n<li>Trimaco 5 x 5 <a href=\"https:\/\/trimaco.com\/products\/dropcloths\/butyl-ii\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Butyl II dropcloth<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Trimaco <a href=\"https:\/\/trimaco.com\/products\/masking-tapes\/kleenedge-perfect-edge-painting-tape\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">KleenEdge Low Tack Tape<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Colored &#038; natural twine<\/li>\n<li>Glitter (we used green and silver)<\/li>\n<li>Mod Podge<\/li>\n<li>Trimaco <a href=\"https:\/\/trimaco.com\/products\/rags-and-wipers\/properfect-wipers\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">ProPerfect Wipers<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Hot glue gun &#038; sticks<\/li>\n<li>Foam brushes<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/trimaco.com\/products\/gloves\/disposable-gloves\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Latex gloves<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Plastic plate for Mod Podge<\/li>\n<li>Double-sided tape<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-src=\"https:\/\/trimaco.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/story-5b.jpg\" alt=\"Holiday X-Paper Trees DIY first steps\" width=\"100%\" height=\"677\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-6505 lazyload\" data-srcset=\"https:\/\/trimaco.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/story-5b.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/trimaco.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/story-5b-300x198.jpg 300w, https:\/\/trimaco.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/story-5b-768x508.jpg 768w, https:\/\/trimaco.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/story-5b-624x412.jpg 624w\" data-sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 1024px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 1024\/677;\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Directions:<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>First gather your materials and lay down a Trimaco <a href=\"https:\/\/trimaco.com\/products\/dropcloths\/butyl-ii\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">5 x 5 Butyl II dropcloth<\/a> to contain the mess (mainly the glitter) and make clean up a breeze.<\/li>\n<li>Next, plan out how many trees you want to design, how large you want them and what decorations you want to utilize.<\/li>\n<li>Measure out a triangle on the <a href=\"https:\/\/trimaco.com\/products\/heavy-duty-surface-protection\/flooring-protection-paper-x-paper\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">X-Paper<\/a> (this depends on the size tree you want-we did two 1.5-foot triangles, and two smaller ones). Cut out your triangle, rounding out the bottom to create the cone shape of the tree.<\/li>\n<li>Secure the cones with Trimaco\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/trimaco.com\/products\/masking-tapes\/kleenedge-perfect-edge-painting-tape\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">KleenEdge Low Tack Tape<\/a> on the inside and reinforce with the hot glue along the seams.<\/li>\n<li>Once your cone is stable and secure, begin decorating your paper tree! We tried a few different styles:<\/li>\n<p>a. For a more dramatic look, apply a coat of Mod Podge with a foam brush and sprinkle the glitter (we recommend wearing gloves when applying). <em>Trimaco\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/trimaco.com\/products\/rags-and-wipers\/properfect-wipers\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">ProPerfect Wipers<\/a> are very helpful for clean-up in between trees.<\/em><br \/>\nb. For a rustic look, apply a coat of Mod Podge with a foam brush and wind twine around the cone all the way to the top.<br \/>\nc.
