Product Highlight / A Cut Above the Rest – Floor Protection

Product Highlight: X•Paper

Regular contractor’s and builder’s papers have been around a long time—reliable floor coverings to be sure. But, most soak through and tear, which is not a great choice if your floors need to cure.

A teacher might give those temporary floor protection papers a “B” grade. Wouldn’t you rather use an A+ floor and surface protection covering? Here’s how Trimaco’s X-Paper Heavy Duty Flooring Protection makes the grade:

  • It’s 1.5 times thicker than traditional brown papers, making it durable and long-lasting. You won’t have the frequent rips and tears from general site and foot traffic.
  • It repels minor spills, decreasing the chance you’ll have a liquid breach that could damage floors.
  • It’s also breathable and allows floors to cure to their natural beauty and strength.

To install, simply roll out X-Paper on the area which needs protecting. Cut to desired length using scissors and tape down with one of Trimaco’s tapes. Use it with many of Trimaco’s Heavy Duty Tapes or Masking Tapes. Before taping to the floor, make sure to do a spot test to ensure no residue is left behind or finish is pulled up.

X-Paper is easy to work with, affordable, and made in the U.S. It works with vinyl flooring, as well as concrete floors and hardwood floors. Give your builder’s paper go-to an upgrade. X-Paper is available in pallets, packs and rolls.

"...Rushing downstairs with the sprayer still running, I came to find my sprayer knocked over and 5 gallons of Kilz primer spilled all over the floor. Everywhere. In the moment of trying to pick it all up the Rosin Paper ripped, the paint kept spreading, and the air was full of overspray and paint smell. The living room was a mixture of white paint and pieces of red paper everywhere...."

  • As the aftermath of #HurricaneFlorence continues to distress the Carolinas, many of us will be gearing up for the cleanup and restoration that will be taking place in our state. This presents its own danger and challenges, such as contaminated floodwaters, heat stress and electrical hazards,
among other things. Keeping yourself safe in any of these situations is your number one priority. This includes wearing the appropriate personal
protective equipment (PPE). Dupont Tyvek has put together a helpful guide which provides information on all their protective wear and the situations in which they should be used. Follow the link in our bio for this info and more on restoration after the hurricane.
We are keeping all those affected by #HurricaneFlorence in our thoughts as we prepare to come together to restore our state.
