New Aqua Shield Spray Booth Edition | Temporary Floor Covering

Share

Love Trimaco’s Aqua Shield Heavy Duty Surface protector? Then we’ve got good news for you! We are excited to announce that we’re adding another temporary floor covering option to our Aqua Shield line. Welcome, Aqua Shield Spray Booth Edition.

The lightweight, temporary surface protector has all of the same great features as the original including:

  • Flame Retardant
  • Leakproof
  • Slip resistant
  • Durable & reusable
  • Dust-free

In addition, this particular 10mil edition is white in color for better visibility and anti-static for safety during the spray booth application process.

Why is visibility important?

The new white color provides better visibility within the spray booth. Why is this important? Great question. Within the enclosed space, the lights automatically pick up the reflection of whatever color the surface is (walls, floors, etc.). When surfaces have a tint of even the slightest color, this can be reflected onto the item you are spraying, therefore altering the applicator’s vision. However, if all surfaces are a neutral white, the color of the paint will reflect its purest tint. This eliminates the possibility of adding too many coats.

Total Spray Booth Protection

Spray booth protection is not only important to maintain quality and value, but a clean booth also prevents unwanted dust, dry paint and dirt. With the presence of these particles in the air, there is a risk of them clinging to the wet paint ultimately altering and damaging your freshly coated surface.

Maintaining the overall quality of your spray both and the air inside is critical, but it’s also important to use temporary floor protection for safety precautions. The buildup of dust, dirt and paint increases the risk of slips and even fires. Trimaco’s Aqua Shield Spray Booth Edition provides dust-free, flame retardant, slip resistant, anti-static and durable protection to help avoid these accidents. Take the time to prep your space to avoid costly setbacks later.

Quick and easy to install

Trimaco’s Aqua Shield is one of the simpler floor protection products to use. The lightweight rolls make this surface protector easy to move and work with. To install:

  1. First, calculate the square footage of the area you will be protecting. Then determine how many rolls you’ll need to protect your space. Rolls are currently available in one size: 6 ft. x 140 ft.
  2. Clear and sweep the area you’ll be protecting.
  3. Starting on one side, simply roll out the Aqua Shield to your desired length and cut with a box cutter.
  4. Repeat, overlapping the edges of the floor protector around 1 inch.
  5. Keep the material overlapped and in place, using the Aqua Shield Seam Tape to bind the seams together.
  6. We recommend using a less aggressive tape, such as a blue painter’s tape on the edges to secure the product to the surface.
  7. Once your surface is completely covered, you can begin working! Again, we recommend cleaning or replacing the surface protector when build-up occurs to avoid safety hazards and application disasters.

We’re excited to add our Spray Booth Edition to the Aqua Shield line. Although intended for Spray Booths, this temporary floor covering is a great option for a variety of surfaces including walls, raised surfaces, low traffic areas and more!
