The relationship between Trimaco and DuPont Personal Protection began in the early 1980’s and has been growing strong ever since. Prior to being a retail partner, Trimaco purchased DuPont products from distributors. As the safety industry and protective apparel category grew and evolved, so did the partnership. Trimaco became a direct partner in 1983, selling Tyvek® protective apparel to industrial workers through several retail channels. The job site protection company continues to be a valued partner of the DuPont Personal Protection business.
In 2018, Trimaco finished the year with a 38.9% increase in sales of DuPont products. The team is honored to have received the DuPont Tyvek® Outstanding Partnership & Sales Growth Award. This growth wouldn’t have been possible without the continued support of customers, Trimaco staff and the DuPont team.
Trimaco has worked with DuPont to bring unique and fresh ideas to the marketplace since the partnership began. Currently, Trimaco individually packages and distributes a range of safety and protective apparel for DuPont. From more basic, non elastic DuPont™ Tyvek® 400 Coveralls for paint and spray jobs to DuPont™ Tyvek® 500 HV Coveralls for high visibility, and DuPont™ Tychem® 2000 coveralls for chemical splash protection.
Trimaco’s latest adoption of the DuPont™ Tyvek® portfolio is a garment designed for hot climates, or for workers just looking for upper body protection. We took the dependable Tyvek® 400 lab coat, and re-marketed the Trimaco Dupont™ Tyvek® Button Up Jacket, specifically to the paint industry. Trimaco values recommendations and suggestions from customers and subject-matter-experts in order to deliver products that are the most relevant and useful for various job site types.
In partnership for nearly 40 years, Trimaco and DuPont continue to bring new products and innovative ideas to the market. DuPont is a global leader in chemical protective apparel, and as demand within the industrial safety market continues to grow throughout the world, Trimaco will be there to support it.
